This repeated three or so times until I decided to head home.

My wife brought home some kind of cheese dip that she bought from a customer where she works. It was in a bowl about the size of a small margarine tub, and cost her $12. This shit had the consistency of cool whip, and was this orange-pink-yellow color. It tasted like vomit tastes after an all night beer and vodka binge. She claims to have liked it (although 3/4 of it was thrown out), but my kids and I despised it...

It's not the worst TASTING food ever, though. My family and I went to the Chinese buffet in the next town over. I dropped a piece of lemon in my plate of banana pudding. I figured "what the hell, it's pudding," and proceeded to lick the pudding off of the lemon wedge... I can't even begin to describe how bad that combination is, but the cheese dip tasted better.

In order of nastyness :

SURSTRÖMMING : freakin rotten fish makes you wanna lick a durian like jessica alba.

1000 year old eggs : i think its indonesian. Its just lets bury a half breeded chicken egg for some months and eat it. Overall disgusting sensation but i would prefer it to surströmming.

Lamb brain : texture is like a more jelly cooked liver. Is eaten cold with lemon.
It is still quite delicious compared to the other 2

I do eat steak on its own sometimes, and it's delicious; I just never feel the need to eat an entire large steak in one sitting. I get bored of it. I'd rather have an 800 calorie meal of a small portion of steak and 2 vegetable side dishes plus a fruit-based dessert than an 800 calorie meal of just meat.

Just my taste though.

On that topic, best steak I ever made:
2.5" thick prime ribeye
dry-brined with alderwood-smoked sea salt
cooked at 225° in oven until rare
seared in clarified butter
pan sauce with more butter
