i actually agree with the non tippers on the fact that restaurants should have to pay their staff enough that they dont need tips and that other countries do it better as in no culture of tipping.

that said the fact is that is what we have in america, food service workers often rely on tips, i agree that some of them, waiters/waitresses at more expensive places for example, get paid disproportionately for the level of work required of them sometimes. but it is a shitty job taking shit from people all day. social convention alone should shame you into making at least a token tip of a dollar to your delivery driver, and a few bucks to waiters. if you are a a regular somewhere even more reason to tip well, i go to a barber that definitely puts in extra effort and care with the better tippers. i bet many of you talking shit saying its not your fault they cant get better jobs and such dont even work yourselves. i dont like the system of tipping we have created, when a cocktail waitress brings me my drink which literally just entails walking from the bar across the room to me with my drink, i dont think damn she sure deserves 15%, but just give them a dollar so its at least something. imagine going out on a date with a girl you just met and then at the end of dinner explain that you dont tip.

I've worked at domino's, pizza hut, papa johns and a family-owned pizza place while I was in college two years ago. I also have two friends from high school who own 7 papa john's franchises together. Not one of them drug tests/tested and you've clearly never worked at a pizza chain. Literally everyone but the store's owner smokes weed at the very least or does something harder and I would venture to say even a lot of owners do the same shit. If they did drug test they'd have 1/4 of the "qualified" staff they have and would have to close shop.
