As an epilogue I eventually met him on the outside, I was assigned to a halfway house and he came in to visit another former jailbird he knew there. He bought me a coffee and thanked me. Really had mostly forgotten the incident, this is going back some years. I'm unsure if story is up to /b/'s standards, I dont usually post.
