I'm a 4.0 GPA science student who spent his first 25 years of life raised in a religious cult. I have believed in and seem all the arguments from both sides and I am highly educated and fluent in the context of these situations.

The answer is that atheism is stupid because the concept of god is inherently unfalsifiable.

Believing in an inherently unfalsifiable concept such as god is equally stupid.

God may or may not exist, but there is absolutely no reason to either believe or disbelieve.
