To me it seems like kids are just pussies now. It's cliche to say that but it's true. I feel like the internet is very different now too. For a loner kid with no friends and depression, a group of nice people is enticing. It's easy to be influenced when your lonely or vulnerable. Basically, I think humans are selfish creatures who are infinitely more shallow than they pretend to be. They lie, manipulate, and cheat to get what they want. Even passive and "good" people still hold unconscious selfish and malevolent beliefs.

"Love" is just a term we use to describe the evolutionarily obligatory bonds humans make. Behind the veil of "love" lies the true glue that holds these bonds together; superficial benefits, personal gain, circumstance/settling, or societal pressure.

Ex 1: A couple may say they love each other, but person A might not have ever fallen in "love" with person B if it wasn't for his bank account or looks. They may even just say they love each other because they've been together for 3 years and society says they should.

Ex. 2: You might love your mom and dad, but only because society wants you to love them, and you have a bond due to circumstance and comfort that is natural and not transcendental whatsoever.
