I figured they were quite common favourites but they're just films I enjoy and could watch regularly without getting tired. I vary in reasons why I like films, it could vary from being something as simple as the soundtrack to liking a film because the storyline is left in pieces for the viewer to put together once the vital clue is given at the end (like Memento or Usual Suspects), giving the viewers something new to pick up on each time its viewed.
Idk I guess I just easily enjoy films.

I'm liberal af and that movie pissed me off to no end -- I lost all respect for Moore and Cannes after seeing it (at this point I still loved BFC so I was excited to see it as much for non-political reasons).
The only film I still really respect Moore for is Canadian Bacon, which is fiction and comedy, and it seems to suit him best -- he should go back to doing that exclusively. I actually highly recommend it -- it stars John Candy and Alan Alda.

Topic isn't about "The Best", it's about favorite. For example:
Best movies (quality/depth/content) I've ever seen:
Requiem for a Dream
The Godfather
Forest Gump
My favorite (enjoy watching most) movies:
12 Monkeys
American Psycho
Guardians of the Galaxy
I know that 12 Monkeys is far from the cinematic masterpiece that The Godfather is, but I would still pick it 95% of the time if I'm just looking for something to watch while I'm drinking and chilling out.

>because it seemed like he started out with the whole "Guns are bad, Mmmmkay" premise and then wound up saying, "Maybe it's us and not the guns that are the problem." Seemed pretty reasonable.
He still did this, and did a good job of getting it across that he made this change. Up until he did the scenes with WalMart and Heston, which were near the end of the film so it upended the notion that Moore himself learned anything from his own factfinding.
But the bulk of the film was that the factfinding revealed a deeper problem in the US that had nothing to do with guns themselves, and that was what I actually respected about it. So at least we all took a lesson from the film, even though Moore himself apparently did not.
