the colors of the picture you see from NASA are with digitalized so it makes sense to us who see it. so they add color and enhanced features and make up somethings to easy know what they are talking about.
The pictures you see of other planets are artistic recreations. no one has never seen any of them.
we get data, no pictures.
I study this and I live 5 min from an observatory so I spend my childhood days there

Not sure if bait, but I'll bite.

They do get a decently wide spectrum from telescopes and things, and while they are out of human vision limits, they are usually re-mapped to colors we see semi-subjectively.

When you watch simulations of galaxies that will collide soon it looks crazy (us an andromida for example)

>>
>>726135254
Think of a line a mile long, and imagine yourself standing at one end of the line. The other end of the line signifies the beginnings of the universe, and where you are standing denotes this exact moment in time.

Get a ruler and measure 1mm from the end of the line. That's when the bible said the unioverse started. Now dissect that millimetre into 100 pieces. The last tiny section denotes when the bible was written.

Now imagine the other end of the line again, and how far away it is.

That's how stupid you look when you try to tell everyone that your god, not god, YOUR god created the universe

ever heard of 'peer review'? You posit a theory, and then it is analysed by your peers, who either prove or disprove your theory.

Religious texts never come under such scrutiny when judged by religious scholars, they never seek to disprove, just to confirm, so their results can never be trusted

Knowing there's so much to explore and knowing most of it never will be and even our own milky way won't be properly for a long while after we're all dead. The most fascinating part to me is way beyond what we can see, the universe that light hasn't reached us from yet. Unfathomably huge and all kinds of unimaginable shit we could only dream of. Maybe even galaxies full of life.

I'd also sacrifice my own life if I was able to be dropped into a supermassive black hole, if it's big enough you at least wouldn't be stretched into nothing so there'd be some mindblowing shit going on for as long as you lasted.

Not necessarily the universe itself, but something, whatever caused the big bang, maybe some quantum thing, but that is far, far from nothing.
>>
>>726143940

Only our subjective experience of it

Energy can change form but never be destroyed

Entropy will become exponential and all signs point to that being very dull for us

But that just means a different form of existence and is so far away we will either be wiped out or have transcended caring about such trivialities

Who knows?
>>
>>726137659

>>726144227

Always existed but we are just experiencing a very small fraction of that

>Like blowing smoke in the air and watching it fade
>>
>>726144554

As long as matter exists so shall particles

Matter could just become energy again but that would require a natural process we are unaware of

Closest I can think would be everything sucked into backholes and given off as "hawking radiation"

But then when all energy is condensed into one space maybe that sparks a "big bang"?

Main reason I am so in to space

He had a good quote that always stuck with me. No idea if it is his own or stolen:

"There are two types of people in this world. Those who look up and those who look down"

Love living in the countryside. Not much light pollution

I feel city living is unnatural and detaches people from reality mostly because they can't see the stars
