I remember watching the millionth "Behind the scene" documentary on Star Wars. And they've said the reason why the lightsaber battles were more 'kinetic' in the prequels than in the original movies, is because in the originals the only lightsaber wielders, were an old man, a kid with no skills, and a cyborg with stiff robot limbs. In the prequels, everyone was young and skilled with the Jedi Order training everyone.

I watch this final duel with an OLD Obi-wan, and Maul (who's all robot from the waist down) the same situation as Vader vs. Obi-wan.

There should've been some 'struggle' in the fight; but nope, a single slash and that's it.

Only good thing about the movie was Poe, at the very least that was a good character, and obviously the best of the movie.

It was based on the samurai duels that initially inspired Star Wars.
Personally, I thought it was very well done, especially how it incorporated things like Obi-Wan clearly learning from pic related, which reinforced that Maul couldn't move on.
