these are really good questions OP, and ones that i have been pondering for years. first of all, i do not think that concealed firearms should be allowed on things such as college campuses for example. within the past year there was an attempted shooting at ohio state university campus which was quickly stopped by a handful of campus police officers. so in general for colleges and high schools i think that there should just be an added layer of security instead of letting everyone tote a gun around. im a pretty conservative person overall, but i still don't really see the place for guns in the united states. i feel comfortable with more security and police with guns, but definitely not comfortable for a regular joe to be carrying around especially since it's not hard to obtain a gun in the US. crime rates would be so much lower without them and school shootings would probably not even exist anymore. there's downsides to gun control but overall ever since columbine im all for it. i personally don't own a firearm of any type because i just don't see the need for it for where i'm at in my life
