Went to go visit my folks and they got a my little brotgerbone and it looks like shit. I swear even an early Xbox 360 game has better graphics. First I thought maybe cause it's portable but then I saw the graphics when it's hooked up and looks maybe slightly better, still hovering around 30fps though. Wii-U supports 1080p, 5.1 audio (Not on many titles but it's possible), lossless audio file formats on discs, and it has all the same AAA titles plus many more under rated ones like Xenoblade Chronicles X.

If I had kids I would get them a switch, after that really gay youtube video recently I'd prefer them to not even have access to it and I want control over their ability to watch anything off discs since so many shows these days are pozzed as fuck. The switch lets kids use the living room until I get back from work. Then they have to fuck off and only get a couple hours of battery life, forcing them to do other things.

My thinking is that a Nintendo is the best product to get when you have a PC. I have a switch and no other console, just a PC. A ps4 and Xbone's will absolutely never top a PC, no console ever will. Why should I spend the money to play the few exclusives that won't even run well? But a Nintendo product doesn't really sport itself as a Spec hound like PC's, PS4's, and Xbones. They do other shit better, being mobile but having fun games. Netflix and YouTube will be coming later as I've heard, so I feel the switch is the best console for someone who already plays PC.

I still play the original Doom to this day. There's just something more visceral in the experience without all the flash and the juxtaposition of narrative.
It feels like a video game.

Crash is a good example as they're remastering the trilogy, and it just looks and sounds... off.
And I can attest to that without being bound by nostalgia as I play these weekly via gamepad, rom libraries and emus as my system is long gone. It just feels better.

Nobody has mentioned yet that one of the biggest perks to owning a pc is the ability to torrent. You can basically demo any game as long as you like. if you want to support the company who made it you can then buy it.

If you want a PC for the graphics, they really aren't all that much better than the PS4. Though, one advantage PC has over consoles is access to a massive number of really good old games. If that's your reasoning, then go for it. If you like a mouse and keyboard, then go for it.
