Also I'm really pissed that I bought a RX480 (although it was a lot cheaper than a GTX1080) for my gaming pc but there are no games to use it up. DOOM runs on 150 FPS in HD, Fallout 4 on 100 FPS etc. It's ridiculously powerful but I have no games to play and use. Why would anybody spend thousands of Currency Units just to buy a huge monitor, big graphics card and powerful processor and ram only to not be able to play shit at all?

I have to agree. I think 1 and 2 took themselves a little more seriously. The newer games are fun, but lack any real storyline and feel like a comedy skit
>>
>>724810008
The RX480 is a midrange card. You're lucky you're only on 1080p, where it can only just scrape 60fps in The Witcher 3. At higher resolutions the card wouldn't be capable.

1 and 2 took themselves a *lot* more seriously. And required a bunch of running all over for endless amounts of time, too. If you're into that whole Morrowind thing, I suppose it's nice enough as long as you've got the Gentleman of the Row mod to make the PC port tolerable.

Never played SR1, since it was only on Xbox360. As for SR2's story and plot... eh, I suppose it was OK - but if I want deep story I'll play an RPG. They throw a tantrum because they use double-buffered vsync, where any drops below 60fps causes it to lock down to 30fps so the fps is a multiple of the monitor's refresh rate.

If they had variable refresh rate monitors they wouldn't notice.

Not saying that, but there is a lack of balance. If you have played the first planetside you would understand what I mean. >>
>>724814016
It's what happens when you give an undisciplined design team money for an unfinished product. Over 90% of games on steam greenlight are like this sadly they are living the easy life while not putting in the necessary time into their games. Anybody can have a great idea for a game, but not many people know how to actually make the game the way it should be.
>>
>>724814291
Definitely. When playing on Ranger difficulty it makes you rely on audio cues and shit to keep stealthy. Some parts feel like bs but finding your way through is very rewarding
>>
>>724814751
Yeah exactly. They already have all the money they are ever likely to make from the game so there's very little incentive to continue development.
>>
>>724814751
This is why I hate that steam ever started allowing early access games. I mean don't get me wrong, when devs actually use the early access to improve their game and build a positive community like in the case of Subnautica, it's awesome. You really feel like your input is helping the overall outcome and improving the games you love.

Unfortunately as with most things in life, hardly anyone uses it properly. Almost every "early access" game is just a pile of stagnant ideas, riddled with bugs, with no final product in sight. And the devs use the "early access" as an excuse to never fix anything and just keep charging 20$ for a fucking tech demo. It's such a double edged sword. But I'd rather it not be allowed at all than allowing all the cash grab bullshit we do have
>>
>>724814678
rocket league stresses me the fuck out when i fuck up ingame.
great game though.
>>724815176

>>
>>724815131
How many years has DayZ been in development now? Objectively pretty much nothing has been accomplished by the design team despite plenty of funding. I don't like putting deadlines on games, but there needs to be more oversight for things like this. If you want to see a publicly funded project that is doing it right, look at Star Citizen. They have an effective team working on the game and are advancing at a decent pace.

>>
>>724815176
Agreed to an extent, I think that consumers should be more judgemental and more informed about early access games, and developers should be punished when they fail to deliver a proper product, No Man's Sky for example, I can't wait for their company to be properly sued into the ground for falsely advertising to the degree that they did.

i used to be in the top 100 worldwide leaderboards for MBU. would have got farther but there was this glitch where you could shave down all the plastic around your joysticks and move at a 45 degree angle and you'd move faster.

Out of that list those are the only ones worth playing, especially if you've never played any of them before.

I have a couple of gamepads and a wireless adapter, guess I'll just have to go that route. I avoid using my controllers if I can since most games are so much better with keyboard mouse. Once I got used to playing assassin's creed 4 with my k/m I felt like I could play better than I could with a gamepad

Ark and rust are trash, fun for a couple hours each. Kerbal space program and Planet coaster are niche games that aren't fun to most people. Planetside 2 is slow and boring, especially alone, requiring a lot of time to do anything. Etc etc

I posted m&b and was actually gonna say divinity next, we'll done anon. I'd only suggest divinity if you have a friend personally though

I had that issue with Blade and Soul as well as the f2p Ghost in the Shell game on Steam. From what I was told, it has something to do with the game trying to run on two of your processor cores or some shit, I'm nowhere near an expert on this. I fixed it by opening up the task manager, right clicking the game under the "processes" tab, and clicking "set affinity." Uncheck processor 0, click okay, recheck processor 0, play the game. Like I said, I don't have any idea how it works, but it works for me.

Press I on your keyboard on planetside 2 lol it puts you straight into a fight, need to play it with other people in an outfit in order to get the full experience. Rust and Ark are both great games, but I highly recommend playing with other people. Some games aren't easy to enjoy solo. That being said, I still prefer single player games.

i got about a 1000 hours, i had a coming to god moment realized the only reason i was in it so hardcore was because the diablo feels it gave me. nostalgia is for babies when you grow up you gotta move on. now i play tribal wars 2 and i spent over 1300$ on it in the past two months RIP so much for growing up

It's what happens when a studio keeps using the same updated engine over and over again. Bethesda needs to use an entirely new engine for their new games or at least make their current engine completely modernized.

Get Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Its a fucking amazing RPG with great combat (think God of War + Skyrim).

I agree, Bethesda tends to run their engines into the ground. Skyrim was good from the standpoint that they made a new engine for it, and it ran smooth. I sunk endless hours into that game, until each save corrupted.
