Also doing it at night seems more dangerous since you have the spotlight on you unless you're painting in pitch black, which seems unlikely. Seems like you would stick out WAY more than if you were doing it during the day.

By the time the cops show up, you should be a mile away. Response time (esp in CA) is ridiculously slow, IF they even bother with a graffiti call.

I use a diffused fingerlight on my trigger finger, just to make sure that my fill isn't spotty. Make sure you use something to diffuse the LED, otherwise people will notice a bright-ass LED bobbing around in the dark.

Shake your cans before you leave, paint doesn't settle so fast that you need to be shaking it all the time. If your paint isn't coming out right, thats a pressure issue, not something you shake the can for. Stick a magnet on the side of the can to hold the mixing ball in place.

Day tagging is fine if you're quick and stealthy, but night is when shit really goes down. If you're going to do something big, scope out your spots first. I'll go chill in a spot for an hour with no paint on me, just to see what the activity is like in the area. Know escape routes, alleys, holes in fences, etc.
