It works but helium is a bad choice.
They add oxygen to it so kids don't pass out and brain themselves when doing the funny voice thing.
You can use any inert gas for it, Argon, Nitrogen and sulphur hexafluoride are all good, though varying levels of difficult to obtain.
Argon is probably the easiest since you can get it at most large hardware stores as welding gas or online because they use it for food preparation somehow, i dunno, but that makes it easier.
nitrous oxide is also a good one but harder to get than all 3. Helium is basically the worst though.
Also if you have a pool it's easier to just get an inflatable pool put it upside down and fill the air chamber under it with gas, put some of those exercise ankle weights around your arm and when you pass out you will just sink torso first to the bottom.
You can also do this in a lake but the pool might blow away. Bonus to this is it will confuse the hell out of anyone investigating it because i don't think anyone has ever killed themselves like that.

Yeah it's best because it's method of action isn't based on atmosphere replacement, you can just huff too much of it through one of those cheap plastic face masks and it'll kill you.

What were you majoring in at the time?

Not that you're in the right mind right now to hear this, but maybe if you save this thread and re-read it, most colleges offer these "GPA relocation/GPA adjustment" programs that allow you to essentially reset your grades if you change majors and give you a clean slate.

Although I understand it's probably not that simple and college is expensive so simply changing majors may not be an option for you.

I did abysmal in school myself. I was working full time while going to school full time (huge mistake). I was pretty much non-stop working and going to school.

On days I had off from school I was at work and on days I had off work I had school. I started skipping classes and eventually I ended up skipping weaks of class, bombing tests. Missing finals. My GPA is complete shit right now, so I get that feeling you have.

I'm going back to school this summer though and trying to take an EMT course, then I'll try and retake all those courses I did shit in during the fall.

In my case, it had to do with me never going to class and literally skipping finals. I was generally lazy and never studied as well, but being absent all the time and simply not going, missing tests, exams, in class assignments, handouts, homework, presentations etc. obviously has a detrimental effect on your grades.

Had I just simply attended class and not missed all the exams and still not been studying I probably would have decent C's or B's in school as that's what I had for my first classes where I actually went.

Best way would be shotgun to the head. But if you live in a country like the Netherlands, the exit bag will be one of the best options. It is not comfortable to have a bag on your head and notice you run out of oxygen but once you feint you die. (If nobody would find you in time)

You can also try it without helium. The oxygen in the bag will run out because of you breathing it in. You faint and same story.
