2. What city are you in right now? If it's nice, I'd recommend just going for a walk and exploring some places you havent been before. You'd be surprised how far it gets you
3. If you have a car and can afford to use some gas, I would recommend checking out some places around where you live. There's a ton of parks and natural sites where I live (vancouver) so there's a shit ton of stuff for me to check out here

last year I moved from North Carolina to Washington State on about $600

North Carolina was alright, not too bad. pretty unremarkable really, with real southern summer heat and humidity. I can't speak for southern Cali but there is nowhere in the US better than the pacific northwest
