What are good specs for a custom built pc? 500-600$ budget.
Mainly going to be using it for playing games
I'll post stuff in the meantime

You are gonna have to go over $500-600 for something that lasts a long time. Save up some money until your budget is $1200, and then you will be able to make a bombass gaming rig that'll last you a long time.

What do you mean wont last me a long time?
>>723852386
I bought my parts over time starting with the most expensive thinking that if I already put so much into it then i can't quit now.

Interesting thought process
Wait for next Black Friday deals and build a god tier PC for half the price.

Thats a pretty long time to go, but good idea anyway

8GB RAM, single channel so you can upgrade to 16 when needed.
Quad Core Intel or 8 core AMD CPU (cheaper option, usually).
2GB VRAM GPU
250GB SSD, unless you wasted too much budget in which case just use your current drive or get another 0.5-1 TB HDD.
You'll also need a case, motherboard and a 400-500W PSU unless your old ones are compatible.
Obviously which parts you'll use will depend on your personal preference. This is just an estimate of what you should be able to get. Don't settle for less.
