if you just injected testosterone into a woman, she would produce more estrogen than a usual woman. estrogen is necessarily produced from the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.

what matters is the ratio of testosterone to estrogen. in FTM cases, estrogen production is reduced with an aromatase inhibitor (1), and testosterone production is increased with testosterone injections (2).

its unlikely a doctor would prescribe a testosterone dosage high enough to mimic the blood levels of a pubescent male (XY). doctors view it as unethical, its just not a thing that occurs.

Sports exist to exhibit your natural abilities. If you're naturally better, then that's that. It's not about a level playing field, it's about being the best. Women and men are separated solely to give women a place to play competitively since they can't keep up in sports that require physical strength and endurance.

I don't believe we should exclude anyone from "men's" sports since men are the standard for physicality, and if a woman can compete, then more power to her, but we should definitely keep men out of women's sports.
