I was a nerd for motocross back in the day, still am.

When I was like 13 in '91, I was totally obsessed with this bike. A race team called On The Line Racing" built this works Honda CR125 Rusing a Verona Race Products aluminum frame, tank, airbox, and swingarm. Every other bike had steel components, except this one.

They also had a deal with Mugen Motorsports (owner was son of Soichiro Honda) that if the race team could get their engines "legalized" in the sport of motocross, Mugen would engineer a custom race engine for their CR125s. It ended up happening, and the engine was so powerful for a 125, the riders thought it was a CR250R.

Way ahead of it's time, probably the first aluminum framed bike too.
