Buy a joyetech ego or a fuckin eleaf mini. Easy to use and good beginner

Joyetech has button design while eleaf has no buttons and is activated by drawing breath. Both are good for beginner. Online has all you need. Just look up "ecig starter kit" and look for a good one.

I would recommend a mild tobacco flavor along with some fruity ones if you are into that.

Whether it is safer than smoking or not is irrelevant to me though. Since I switched to vaping from a pack a day smoking I have a full lung capacity again, way more energy and strong, powerful erections. I haven't had a single lung infection in 3 years.

Using common sense but also studies done in other countries where people use different kinds of tobacco products, you can infer the similarities and differences between smoking and vaping in terms of health risks.

Very simply, nicotine is nicotine, so the cardiovascular risk is the same. Same risks of heart attack, stroke, same long term hardening of the arteries etc. Whether you smoke or vape, there should be no real difference.

The main advantage health-wise is that unless there's some weird carcinogen in whatever juice you're vaping, it shouldn't increase your risk of developing cancer the way smoking does. The same is true for people that use snus compared to smoking, it is prepared in some way that involves no combustion and lower-temperature processing, which doesn't produce the carcinogens present in tobacco smoke and typical american tobacco chew.

There are plenty of studies about this stuff done in Europe, but in the U.S. it is illegal to attempt to represent any tobacco product as having health advantages over any other, and because nobody with any vested interest would legally be allowed to publicize the results of any study, they just aren't done here.

Vaping is pretty gay though.

Seriously though, if you doubt the claims about cancer risk in smoking versus vaping, just look at the studies about the comparative risks of snus versus smoking.
