Best drum shell kit for $1300. 10,12,14/16 and 22x18.

heavily depends on what sound you want to have. just dont try to go for stuff like acrylic drums just because they look cool. maybe go to some music store and test different woods and brands.

I don't know if they still make the sonor force 3 series, that were all maple. That was pretty good for around 1.3k.

Pacific ( by dw ) makes some great sounding maple drums at those price range. Pacific cx was my first kit and I played on it for over 8 years.

Sonor also makes the Ascent series that are made out of Beech shells, and I hear that that is the new thing lately.

word of advice, don't put all your budget on your shells, invest in decent sounding cymbals or you will hate yourself down the line.
