But, specifically, there was this one guy who came through drivethru when our shake machine was down and screamed at me "YOU KNOW WHEN SOMETHING'S DOWN, I FUCKING FIX IT, I'M A GODDAMN CARPENTER", then took his money and went to get his food. Definitely the absolute rudest people.

Why is the ice cream machine always fucking broke

Three ways:

1. The way the ice cream machine is set up is that there are two settings; normal and fast. When the ice cream comes out fast it tends to overwork the machine, and when you put it back to normal mode it slows the machine down considerably. Sometimes it just breaks altogether. This happens pretty usually.

2. If you don't put shake mix into the machine, it will lock up and we have to call in the technician. This usually happens since the managers that run midshift don't even bother with refilling it. Literally just leave after their shift is over.

3. Machine just fucks up randomly. Literally just happens, not really any better answer to give here.

I had a friend in high school who worked at a McDonlad's in our town. We were all huge stoners. We would call him and tell him we were in the area, and he would come outside with a huge bag of nuggets and fries and just give it to us outside. This was in the late 90's. How hard would it be to get away with that these days? Not related, he pissed in the grease the day he left.

Pretty easy. We can get away with taking nuggets home if we overestimate the amount we'll need at night and nobody orders any. The managers will be furious though. But, they get over it after a few minutes of lecturing you about dropping food and stuff. Usually it's not intentional at all, you just end up with a lot of excess.
