It's really a question of instant gratification vs. delayed reward.

Playing video games provides instant enjoyment, but you feel like shit afterwards, particularly when you look back at your life and how quickly the years have flown by.

Conversely, working out sucks when you're doing it, but you feel a great sense of accomplishment looking back on what you were vs. what you became through hard work.

Why are any of us on 4chan rather than creating businesses and making money? For fucks sake, everyone has their shit they do, just don't be where you don't belong.
