Theism: Incorrectly believing that super-natural entities exist
/thread

Keep it up daily for 2 years & we MIGHT finally have a counter to that annoying asshat.
This is now an Atreyu thread?

There are atheists that still believe in super-natural entities... many of them believe in free will.
>>723521323
I don't think you can assert that their belief is incorrect. Most scientists are saying that we might be living in a simulation. Our natural laws are programmed into the simulation, created by a supernatural creative intelligence. Calling it god just isn't very contructive, because it tends to imply you've invented a bunch of viewpoints and opinions for your creative intelligence, and you're using it to rationalise your worldview

No, they aren't. It's a thought experiment, like the matrix, like Descatres' dream hypothesis, like Hillary Putnam's brain within a vat... we can concoct this scenario in infinite ways.

God is playing Sims 10.
And loves deleting the pool ladder on all of us.

Yeah but the point is you can't rule it out. It's unscientific to do so
>>723523317
It's unscientific to take it seriously with zero evidence to prove it. It's not worth talking about unless certain evidence arises in support of it.
>>723523317
We can't rule out anything that's beyond the scope of scientific knowledge. But since we can make no assumptions about what happened, literally anything is possible.
The Big Bang could have been preceded by legless polka dancers or an autistic fractal sheep screeching. But while there's no proof against them, there's also no reason to believe in any the infinite possibilities, including any of the versions of god.
