What would be vastly better than this is a rocket heater with a huge thermal mass.
Having a system where the heat is trapped as long as possible going through a thermal mass will allow the heat to be released more slowly over the day.

But it won't magically INCREASE how much heat is there.
All it really does is prevent the heat from flying upwards as quickly, which indirectly makes it last longer.

Better yet, if you have an old wood fire stove, replace that with a rocket stove instead.
Those things are STUPIDLY fucking efficient.
You can run those things on twigs and it burns really well.
It lowers wood waste so much, which is a good thing if you live in a forest and don't want to do too much damage during the winter period.
Best thing is you can harvest the ashes easily, plant new soft wood trees and off you go.

My writings would allow me to own a nice and secluded house in/near the woods with a pleasant little river or stream running through my property.

I don't much care about relationships. It'd be nice to get some tail every now and then, but it's no big deal. I could write, I could hunt, I could grow a nice vegetable garden, I could cut down wood for the fireplace, hopefully said river/stream would have some fish that I could catch every now and then, and I would never be left in wanting for peace and quiet. I could go to the nearest town or city to hit up a pub if I feel like drinking socially. I'd always have liquor stocked up for when I feel like drinking alone, with nobody else. Free to live my life the way I want to, while writing what I want to, and learning as best I can on how to become self-sufficient because survivalism fascinates me but ultimately I wouldn't want to be removed from modern technology.

Sounds like a dream.

I split tasks up in to 15, 30 or 60 minute chunks, depending on what the task demands really.

Equally i started a new idea recently (this year, actually)
For each month, and 6 month period of the year, I will do a physical and mental activity.
Just to find new interests I might like, new foods, new programming languages, drawing styles, stitching styles, spoken languages, sports and so on. Or even just to improve overall health or some facet of it.
Juggling and programming language next month.
This month was doing a set of exercises each day to build up legs and arms, and some imagination exercises via drawing.

I don't have an image for it, but you can make sauerkraut out of your cabbage to make it last much longer. About 3-6 month shelf life I think, or if refrigerated around 1-2 years I think. Check for yourself to make sure. Here's how to make it...

Cabbage
Salt (Apparently you don't want iodized. Canning salt or sea salt seems to be best; I use sea salt)
A Mason jar (though other types of jars would probably do it)

3 tablespoons per 5lb (2.3kg) or cabbage, if memory serves

>Method
Chop the cabbage up finely so it's in thin strips
Either mix the cabbage and salt up beforehand in a bowl, or pack the cabbage into your jars a bit at a time while sprinkling salt in as you do so
Make sure the cabbage is crammed down tightly
The salt will pull moisture from the cabbage, mixing with said moisture to become brine
Use a leaf of cabbage cut into roughly the width of your jar to cover the top of the salty cabbage
On top of this top leaf, place something to keep the cabbage and leaf from floating up, like chunks of the cabbage's core or a VERY clean rock
Once finished, leave it alone, and try to keep it out of the sunlight
It will quickly develop brine thanks to the salt removing water from the cabbage; you want the cabbage to be ALWAYS beneath the brine
If you don't have enough brine, then make some with clean water and salt, then add it, but usually you'll have enough brine
Over the next 3 days the cabbage will ferment and produce CO2. You don't want your jar to kerplode, so don't leave it with the lid screwed tight
The flavour will change as the weeks and months go by
If you end up with some white mold on the surface, don't panic. Scrape the mold off, throw it away, and let the sauerkraut continue its thing

It's a bit of an acquired taste for many but sauerkraut is a great method of preserving cabbage, a great source of vitamin C (and other vitamins), lots of healthy bacteria for your gut (like yogurt), and it's a great condiment.

Sounds like a good life! I actually learned to juggle when I was a kid. Started off with two balls in one hand (I've heard all the jokes), perfected that (was able to juggle up to and beyond 200 when I was in grade 8 as I recall), and then worked on three balls in two hands. I was able to do up to and beyond 100 by the time I was in grade 9 I think. I also learned to do tricks like juggle by bouncing the balls off of a wall, start juggling by having someone toss me the third ball, juggle with my hands far apart causing the balls to arc, juggle by having the balls come from a certain point and go outwards (kinda like a fountain), and when I stopped juggling sometime around the end of my high school years I was just starting to get the hang of juggling two balls in each hand (again, I have heard all of the jokes).

I don't really juggle anymore, but I'm proud to have learned how, and it's a fun thing to do if I'm ever bored and there's a few rocks nearby. I'm nowhere near as good as I used to be, but it's still nifty. I suggest you start with one-handed juggling like I did, and be prepared to drop the balls A LOT. As you do it more, you'll count to higher numbers, and eventually it'll seem like you can just keep going forever. Then, get a third ball and have at it.

I love sauerkraut. It was iffy at first, but I kept trying it and now I can practically eat it out of the jar. I have very low standards when it comes to flavouring of food. Once because I was lazy, I just sliced up a can of SPAM and put sauerkraut in between the slices. The SPAM wasn't fried, it was just raw, and I found it to be surprisingly tasty even though it probably sounds like one of the most disgusting things you can put in your body.

That's pretty much why I do it.
I just want to learn loads of little neat things to pass time, or create.

The programming language for next month is Flash, mainly because I want to make little fun flashes for /f/.
Probably make some lewd games.

Likewise, month after that, I am going to get really in to animation again.
I used to do stop-motion and basic GIF animations.
Probably actually video and audio generation at the same time, actually. Depends.
I really wanted to steer clear of multi-tasking in these monthly tasks. But it would be beneficial since they go hand-in-hand with the end goal. See how I feel.
