Because they're selling fairly basic psychological techniques and supposed how-to knowledge to people whom don't have any clue on what's happening behind the scenes. The customer segment is socially limited people who have these wild dreams of living the fantasy portrayed in porn.

Most of their customers do not need their help and those who do won't benefit from the service. These pick up artists are in the same category as corporate motivators: they're basically scammers talking shit, showing graphs and telling stories which often have nothing to do with reality.

The issue is real but the product isn't.

There is a wild range of variables which affect the success of a date, relationship and overall set of events which lead to sex. It can't be generalized as a step-by-step guide which works for everybody: it doesn't work that way -- otherwise we'd be prepped for that in schools to prevent anti-social behaviour and promote reproducing.

The cold and hard truth is that everybody plays with the cards they have and tries to make their cons look as pros and compensate for what they lack with what they have. The rest is up for the target female to judge which dick they ride and when to switch the dick.

Often the fat, the ugly, the poor, the stupid and the anti-social will lose in this competetion. They will keep on losing until they're 30-50 and MAYBE have accumulated so much wealth that the leftover women are willing to accept the deal as-is. By that point there's barely anything desirable left in these women beyond the potential to produce offspring.

Nobody wants to fuck a degenerate retard and these pick up artists are manipulating these people into thinking that they too could be as successful as the pick up artists themselves. This is not the case. This is a scam.

The PUAs exagerate how well they do with girls. Its luck, a numbers game; if you approach 30 girls at least one is going to say yes to hang out.

PUA courses are not equivalent of "economics 101" or even "psychology 101". They are equivalent of "getting rich quick" courses.
