Has anyone here ever delt with Sertraline (Zoloft withdrawal)?
>I've been on it for over a decade
>Been on a therapeutic 50mg dose for a few years
>I've been tapering properly for the past few weeks as per the doc's precise orders
I've been completely off it for about 4 days now and the withdrawal is starting to kick in
>Brain zaps
>Insomnia
>Mood swings
Has anyone here successfully stopped Zoloft? How long does the withdrawal last?

I was on it for 2 years and weaned myself off it to avoid very long term effects.
Most SSRIs haven't been out for very long and there isn't much conclusive data for what it does too you over a long period of time. I'd rather not find out personally, don't want to become reliant on a drug to function. It helped me pull myself out of rock bottom, but you have to be able to climb out yourself once you've got a foothold.
I was only taking 50mg a day which is quite small. I'm light for my height and seem to be sensitive as well. On my last 6 months or so I cut down to 25mg, then started taking it every other day, then every few days then nothing. I had very little withdrawal, but you've been on it for a lot longer than I was.
Good luck.
yeah it fucking sucks. symptoms stopped after a week or two, can't remember. hang in there

It took me over three years to taper properly off of Effexor, and almost a year for Wellbutrin. Give yourself more time dude. If you rush it you can really fuck up your system. But it can be done.
If you're getting those symptoms bad, it's a sign you're tapering too fast.
