Here's what I like about /b/ and heres why they shouldnt do what you're suggesting:

/b/ is absolutely random. it IS the internet. moreso than reddit or others. the content that people are going to respond to is going to continue to get bumped, others wont and will die.

Thats the way it should be. If you want better content, make better content. I understand youre competing with porn and cancer and thats difficult but thats the point. Ive seen some of the best threads on this board on a monday afternoon in the midst of cancerous ylyl and loli-jerks. Its possible, you've gotta try harder
