Why is everyone so easily butthurt by truthful statements? Sometimes the truth hurts and sometimes it isn't easy to hear. So what? Emotions are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

everyone on the internet loves to be offended. It's what happens when you give everyone a voice, when you tell everyone they're special, when you let them pick their own motherfucking pronouns.
Too many kids grow up these days thinking they alone should be heard above all others; they've been told they are a special unique snowflake their entire lives and once they join the real world they find themselves offended by everyone and, because they are so special, they have to be overly vocal about it.

It's basically like an entire generation of spoiled brats; the world isn't how they want it so they throw a shitfit.
