I learned a lot of cool shit, some applicable, learned to think critically and evaluate information properly, and now im a tradesman and make a shit tonne of money anyway.

Didn't go to uni

Worked in 2 roles where 95% of people are uni educated.

Currently on $105k p/a but that's about my ceiling in this industry.

Was nice to avoid the uni feed but it took a few years longer to get here without the peice of paper.

I regret not going. I regret so much not going for a degree in electrical engineering.

There is a large electrical manufacturing company in my town and it wasn't until i ended up working there as a simple office drone that i realised how much i could have accomplished with that degree. They are always looking for people with electrical engineering degrees; i could've named my price but instead i'm a lowly office drone with too much work, too much stress, not enough pay and a boss who actively looks for excuses to berate us, just any fucking excuse to talk to us like pieces of shit.

I went, got a degree in the IT field, but most places I found place more on certifications, or real world experience. I have an IT job though, 4 years now, went fast through the ranks, and I do think the degree helps with salary and over those with out one.
