Not the movie, but the poster is god-tier.

Hell yeah. Anytime Tetsuo is on screen, I get chills from the music.
here you go
>>722647565
I disagree, it missed the point of the book too hard and some of the cut stuff added a lot to the characters.
you nig nogs need to step up your game
>>722647743
yeah, cool flick
>you and your fucking cunt kids

>>722645324

>>722648340
Oh wow I was just thinking about this for some reason.

Bu far one of the most overrated movies ever.

>>722648584

>>722647029
Another weird overrated pile of shit.
>>722648240
Why do people like this movie it's generic af and the twist has been done 100 times
>>722648742
Yeah it's weird. It's about two degenerate-status drug users who're on an outstanding drug binge in seedy Las Vegas.
What does /b/ think of the Revenant? Don't like how the media hyped this movie because of how hard it was to film, but watching it I didn't once think "damn how did they do that" it just flowed effortlessly and was beautiful to watch

ikr, that's the fucking point
>>722647997
it's pretty real, pretty dark, fairly brutal.... rare that I start to care about the characters in a film but this got me hooked
/thread
>>722649531
Wat.
Have you even WATCHED that indie pile of shite?
Go watch satyricon. It's filmed in exactly the same shit way.
Suffer through that movie too.
You fucking deserve it.

>>722650502
for you faggots the crying game it is before traps were famous.
>>722650954
Nope. O Brother Where Art Thou and No Country for Old Men are both up there, but Llewyn Davis takes it every time
>>722646254
Funny, watched that not too long ago.
Amazing movie.
>>722647042
What's up with Bruce Willis glasses?
>>722651151
He makes the whole story up in a few minutes using things he seen before in the police station.
wich made him super fucking smart
>>722649892
I have watched Satyricon and it's nothing like The Holy Mountain unless your just judging them superficially and w/o context. Fellini always took himself too seriously and it really reflects in his movies. Jodorowsky on the other hand makes makes movies because he genuinely loves the craft but understands it's an illusion and only exists for arts sake.
>>722651151
kek what a cunt
>>722650336
true
>>722647667
This was one of those films I didn't expect to be weird or deep, so I lost all the dropped hints throughout the entire movie.
>>722649023
great movie
>>722647810
Underrated as fuck
>>722651545
Except the fact that its scripted and everything he described was planned beforehand. The problem with this movie was that I saw it coming, not because its Spacey, but because it had to be the cripple.
>>722651339
I mean, it's got a good atmosphere or whatever
but it doesn't even come close to No country for old men or Fargo in my opinion
>>722650225
I miss bowie now
>2017
>God tier anything
>>722649716
Those are both, in my opinion, good movies. I don't care if you dislike them or if anyone likes them. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all.
>>722649218
I thought it was great too. The ending got to me
>>722647090
Actually no, considering there are really no changes to dialouge or storyline, seeng Johnny depp emulate hunter s thompsons mannerisms makes the movie a lot more enjoyable than the book
>>722651586
About the Fellini thing. I'm italian, and I wouldn't say he always took himself seriously. I think a lot of the flavor gets lost in the language sometimes, but for instance 8 1/2 is a pretty playful movie imo
>>722652911
was expecting this movie to be so shit but fuck me it got me hooked right from the start. such a good film
>>722651909
Not really underrated. It was nominated for a few Oscar's, including for Cinematography which I think was snubbed since El Chivo really did something special with it but losing to Pans Labyrinth is totally understandable. It also launched Cuaron's career and saved him from just being known as that guy who directed that one Harry Potter movie.
>>722647933
Comfy too
this movie made me want to try to be a professional musician for 2 months
(didn't happen)
>>722653102
True I think I was being a bit harsh. 8 1/2 is really fantastic, i feel its the culmination of all his work and arguably the peek of his career.
>>722649716
Fedorafag detected
This is a must watch honestly
>>722652372
this and Leaving Las Vegas are amazing but I would never watch them again. Once is enough.
>>722653300
it was funny and witty but not God tier
>>722653521
yeah, I agree
>>722646945
this x2
>>722653702
Fucking god awful. Rob Zombie needs to stick to making shitty music
>>722653880
Yeah, no funny or witty movies
God tier movies have to actually suck, like Leaving Las Vegas
Let's see if you degenerate "movie" goers forgot to strap your balls on this morning.
>>722648742
Maybe you are too stupid to get the humor? One of the most quotable movies of all time, jack ass
>>722648276
seconding this. I also liked "Nueve Reinas"... almost like a spanish "Italian Job"
>>722647829
>>722648002
I found this movie an overrated pile of shit. what was good about it to you?
>>722653734
Hope you never be an alcoholic, those hangovers are fucking extreme I still watch bens extreme hangover, shit is pretty sad !
>>722654082
man, I haven't watched that in a long time.
Speaking of Tom Waits though
>>722654481
I didnt like it that much, reminded me of a french movie were the guy is a butcher he is bitter as fuck, and almost all the movie you can hear him thinking, at the end as I understood it he fucks his autistic daughter wich makes him happy because love is happyness.
now that is art right there was like what in the fuck ?
anyway man bites doge is a good movie.
>>722654075
Youre talking about two different kinds of movies there but I'll play along. Don't get me wrong Nice Guys was a good movie in all regards but it's too predictable and conventional. I knew how it was going to play out 30 minutes into the movie. Its an action comedy and you can't really do much in that sub-genre but there have been God Tier movies that use that label like In Bruges which I found to be way more funny and witty and not nearly as predictable.
>>722654874
Mah Nigga! How bout this one as well??
>>722655065
YEP! true rank god tier. I love pretentious boring french films!... No sarcasm, I truly do love this movie.
How about some more foreign wonders??
>>722653663
My dad loves that movie. So you have my dads approval
>>722655338
I forgot the entire plot to that. All I remember was they torture a guy with grease or oil
>>722654481
everything. it's one of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen, as far as I'm concerned.
-the plot
-the acting
-the cinematography
-emma stone's crazy eyes
>>722649023
Literally my fave
>>722655555
checkd. movie suckd
We could have just stopped making movies after this masterpiece.
>>722655537
yeah, it's basically torture porn and underground fetishist smut. But still amazing nonetheless.
>>722655129
haven't seen that one
>>722655555
>Quints
Here comes the best movie of all time, fuckoes.
>>722655338
>>722655555

>>722655030
I'm not the anon who suggested Nice Guys. I just poked at the tendency to separate good movies from fun movies.

>>722655555
check this gay nigger
>>722655832
It's not at all bad. But like many it's a touchy subject but it's great dark humor and a quintessential indie film for those who care. But with Tom Waits, Will Arnett and a soundtrack provided mostly by Gogol Bordello it's one of my Favs. And Just pretty damned cute.
>>722645724
What are you gaaay ?
Pretty good movie though
>>722655566
dubs is correct. One of the few movies where everything was done right.

>>722659707
hilarious movie
>>722659369
I completely agree and believe all the hard work they did to use only natural light and almost no cgi is really amazing but I don't think there's ever been another movie where the biggest selling point was "This shit was so fucking hard to make, like you don't understand how cold it was" I feel movies should have an effortless quality about them, there's no need to make the audience aware of how much you had to go through to make a movie or any piece of art.
>>722647829
So good! One of the best I ever seen.
I love how he is descending into madness and the long uncut scenes! Excellent acting!
