You can force your brain to behave as you see fit no different than your muscles when working out. Yes, you have free will. But you have no soul and are just more complicated versions of any other animal from the millions of years of evolution and attaining far more energy.

Not really. We are slaves to our programming, the DNA in us is proof we are already mapped out. But as a conscious being you should not let that depress you. Many actions you take are of your own agency. Figure out the things you cannot change for yourself and accept them. That self-hatred will destroy you eventually.
