I have a prediction, generally once corporate gets a hold of something the trend quickly fades. I've noticed a trend in advertisements that focus on race, and I'm predicting that the nations obsession with race will fade. whatchu think?

Probably won't fade until advertising agencies no longer see this as "trendy". Also, specific marketing (see farmersonly.com) isn't inclusive at all, no Asians. Just depends on who they are trying to relate to. If it is the whole US, got to try and represent as many subsets of the US pop. as possible, hence the focus on race.

Our country's obsession with race is like 50 years old by this point and that is only counting civil rights until now, it is probably more accurate to say it is like 150 years old considering the civil war was about race in many was. I doubt a few corporate ad campaigns are going to end it though it might not be a previlent for a decade or so
