My girlfriend is the most important person in my life. Since we go to different schools and her parents hate me, we don't get to see each other except for maybe once a week. Other than that, we talk on the phone daily for about 2 hours. My irrational fear is me being schizophrenic, and my girlfriend not being real (she's just a voice in my head that I hear when I'm on the phone or something). When we're together, I don't have this fear because I can physically feel her and see her and all that, but whenever we're apart I'm always a little nervous of that.

Grey aliens - had nightmares ever since I was 5. Realistic nightmare memories of triangle crafts silently hovering outside my window and waking me up. Absolute terror.

For some reason I also have those "scoop marks" on my lower body too. In my 30's now, still have the nightmares and irrational fear. Moved from very rural area to very urban area in part to mask the feeling of being watched from above.

Thought I was hallucinating for a long time, but my ex girlfriend kept noticing fresh scoop marks, and I guess I would disappear in the middle of the night and come back with sunburnt skin.

Also thought I was bordering on madness, but several years ago I had a job that required a security clearance that consisted of a very, VERY detailed psychometric profiling. So, I know I'm not crazy. At least not clinically.

Deep dark bodies of water...
I almost drowned in the atlantic when I was about 10, and I know no one will ever fucking believe me, but I got touched by a giant squid when I was down there, probably about 40-50 feet down. I was swimming off my uncles boat when I got caught in a current and sucked straight down. I remember just tumbling down, head over heels, into the water as it got darker and colder and more constricting. I turned and saw what I thought was a monster at the time. It was a giant squid. I saw a giant eye and its tentacle brushed against my hand. It didn't attack me or do anything, just sorta... drifted there.
I swam as fast as I could towards the surface but I blacked out. I regained consciousness to my uncle pulling me back into the boat. I cried the entire way home and still have nightmares about it. No one else saw the squid, and they told me I was lying.

I haven't been swimming in anything but pools since, and I don't like squid.

I don't really have a problem with heights, I have a problem with idiot friends coming up behind me near a ledge, grabbing me and screaming "OHSHITDONTFALL". Next person who does that gets fuckin decked.

I fear that people can read my mind or when I'm thinking about something in my mind I'm actually saying it out loud.

For the longest time I was afraid of spontaneous combustion after seeing some Discovery channel show on it as a kid. So much time spent worrying about something rare, unavoidable, and likely not even real.
