Using guilt tripping tricks to sway people from doing something is not the right approach, OP.

Just tell them the positives and the negatives. Let people decide for themselves. Changing habits takes a lot of time too, btw. Remember there are people's livelihoods at stake here too.

People are irrational by nature and most of them are uneducated. Just drop facts. Keep dropping them. But don't force people into a position you want them to be in. It just doesn't work. People are not going to make sacrifices just because you said something. If they engage with you, then tell them what you think but don't rant.

I don't care about fish and have been a pescaterian for a few years now, recently I stopped caring about chickens there kind of stupid and emotionless looking, I could not eat bacon or meat though cows are more aware of whats going on then most people realize and pigs are just so cute and loveable!
