This is a shitty list that flips between criticism of fascism and authoritarianism in general and doesn't serve as a coherent description of either. Trump is, at best, a protofascist.

Where "better" is defined as "closer to bona fide fascism."

The more likely assessment is that he's a civic nationalist with some autocratic tendencies, but who still believes in the principles of liberalism. I understand that leftists want Hitler to rise again just as much as us, but it's really just not happening. History doesn't repeat itself exactly, and Weimar America will fix itself in a different way from Weimar Germany.

I don't consider myself a leftist but I appreciate your viewpoint anyway. Am I right if I assume you voted for Trump? I'm curious to hear about how you feel about the last few days. Social media is full of outrage so I'm interested to hear other viewpoints.

I have yet to hear of something that Trump has done that I disapprove of. If anything I feel like Evola, shitting on Mussolini for not being hardcore enough.

My view, though you might more accurately call it a hope, is that Trump knows that the media and the left can't keep its powder dry. They want to get him out, they want to discredit him and humiliate him. They want him to be Hitler and Voldemort and Palpatine all rolled up into one, and they want to be the heroes who save the day. Instead, he made them piss themselves over literally nothing, and now his advisers are floating a harsher ban that the public will see the media crying about and promptly support.

I am the OP. It's not at all impossible to be non-leftist and be opposed to Trump. The only difference is that I'm interested in hearing from other sides too. Doesn't mean I necessarily agree with them. Thanks for writing down your views.

My pleasure. If you don't mind, I'd like to hear yours. Talking with you sounds more fun than shitposting at a real lefty.
>>
>>720886029

Sure thing. To give you an idea of where I'm coming from: I generally vote liberal where I'm from (The Netherlands). Note; this means something different from what it does in America. I vote liberal in the 'classic' sense of the word, i.e. how it is described on for example the wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism

I am worried about Trump for the following reasons (in no particular order):

- climate change. Lots of people worry about this, but you can imagine how this threat is especially glaring given that our country for a lrge part is below sea level.
- science denialism. Ties into the climate change worry obviously, but I generally distrust any politician who does not take science seriously (which is probably 90% of all politcians, I know)
- I'm quite worried about international consequences. Russia has already invaded Crimea and I've read some sources saying that the battle in the Ukraine has intensified (this is obviously no proof). What if Putin decides to annex other parts of the Ukraine, what will that mean for western European security?
- influence of fundamentalist christian religion on politics. (Queue neckbeard atheism joke)

Maybe you would also be interested to know about viewpoints we possibly share. I think religion in general but Islam in particular is cancer. I think you can be worried about border security and immigration without being the reincarnation of Hitler. I think the regressive left is to blame for a large part of the current state of affairs.

On a more general point I'm concerned about the fact that everyone seems to be living in a bubble. Everyone has their own truths and anyone not subscribing to that truth is 'one of the others'. Call me a whiney bitch but I think being able to talk to each other, being able to entertain opposing viewpoints is one of the most important aspects of politics and political discourse.

Anyway I started rambling a bit and I'm interested to hear what you think.
>>
>>720886895

What I forgot to say:

I think the West should stop being so apologetic about its core values. I absolutely hate moral relativism.
>>
>>720886895
>On a more general point I'm concerned about the fact that everyone seems to be living in a bubble. Everyone has their own truths and anyone not subscribing to that truth is 'one of the others'.
You saw me fall victim to this, and it's even worse for me because of how "out there" my politics are. In some sense, you are to the left of me (I know what classical liberalism is), but that doesn't make you a shitlib. I wanna address the rest but I think you're totally on point there. Not only is the Overton window expanding, but so many people are hastening to the edges including myself, and sometimes you do have to take a step back. On the flip side of the coin, at some point I feel polarization will force everyone to pick a side. I wasn't always a fourteen-words nationalist, it came to me because I saw what the opposite side wanted.

I'm an environmentalist, in that I don't want my people's skies and rivers to be choked with pollutants, but I'm not a conservationist or overly fond of the climate change meme. I think that whatever the causes of climate change, there's not much we can do to stop it. It's time to look elsewhere for saving the environment.

I'm also an atheist, but I'm entirely happy to have a renewed Christian influence in my country. I'd be happier if it were an established church, but even fundamentalist Protestants are better than the civic religion of postcolonialism and self-hatred that's poisoned us for so long. Whatever I think of Christianity as a theology, it's undeniable that it creates morally upright people.

Russia is an interesting thing. I do believe that we should continue to be an ally to Europe- you're our people's homeland, after all. But I don't really have an opinion one way or another about what the Russians do in their own backyard, and I won't go to war with them, no matter what.

My post ended up being even longer, I think.
>>
>>720887856

Well it's /b/, not exactly the last bastion of nuance haha. But I think it's cool that you recognize the state of public discourse. Needless to say we probably disagree on almost everything, but if you and I can agree that not all people opposed to Trump are leftist SJW cucks and that not all people who have voted for Trump are baby killers then that is a small step in the right direction.

Hey, like that Mussolini fellow. It's a good thing we don't have to deal with fascism, but religious extremism as the new right-wing boogieman is even harder to combat.
>>
>>720882138
Kek, I love when people use words they don't understand; it's like when cons think China is communist. In your case you must think everyone on the right, no matter how far from or close to center is a fash-ust when you probably don't even know what Fascism stands for. For example, Fascists are anti-Capitalist, and I don't see how the fuck Trump could ever say no to Capitalism.
tl;dr you're retarded.
>>
>>720889447
>For example, Fascists are anti-Capitalist,
No we aren't. We're anti-exploitation of the people by (((international capitalism))). Fascism has nothing against the free market.

Social media is also where the cancers of third wave feminism, black lives matter, and ISIS all began.
>>
>>720889190
>It's a good thing we don't have to deal with fascism, but religious extremism
Redundant. Both are extremisms of ideals.
A religion is an ideal no different than a governing ideal.
>>
>>720889681
Because these days, so many people on the left slap as big and nasty of words as they can think of for their detractors to lump them all together as one demon, so when people hints towards Donald Trump as being a so-called fascist, it's hard to consider them more than people who are uneducated about the words they use.
>>
>>720890084
>answering one part and not the whole
People treat Islam differently because
>muh exotic colored people
Also with the fact that not all are Wahhabists, and Muslims are widespread, making it hard to tell who is or isn't. Ergo, religious extremism is harder, because it's not fascism where we know they were in power in Italy and outside the bounds of armed conflict, remained confined there.
>>

>>
>>720890641
Not really; Donald is more of a patriot, hate towards human rights statement isn't a tenant of Fascism, President Trump has outlined solutions to actual problems such as terrorism and illegal immigration, Fascist military supremacy would mean the majority of our country's money would instantly go to the military and many of us would be conscribed to total war which won't happen, sexism is not a tenant of Fascism, our media is against Trump, National security is iffy towards actual Fascism, Fascism is not inherently religious, Trump is for creating jobs and business for everyone not just conglomerates, and in those jobs people will not be forced to join labor unions as Fascists would have them do, and the last 4 don't apply at all except maybe 2% if my history is wrong.
>>
>>720890837
Also these align closer to Nazism, which is a separate yet similar ideology.
>>
>>720891399
I group national socialism under the broad category of fascism.
People say it's different, but the truth is that fascism is an ideology that needs to be tailored to the nation. National socialism is German fascism.
>>
>>720891490

Didn't say it was wrong, but it isn't fascist.
>>
>>720891690
Sure, I can get behind that. Fascism is specifically nationalistic, though, and civic nationalism is much weaker than ethnic nationalism.
Mussolini didn't care about race, but that doesn't mean that "racism" is bad or that being such makes you a bad fascist.

Basic Tenets of Fascism:

>"Nothing against the state". Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong.

Democrats: You don't want to sell a cake to a gay couple because of your religion? We're going to tell you you have to or close your business.

Democrats: You don't want to perform gay marriage in your church because your religious beliefs don't agree with it? Don't care. Do it or we'll close your business/church.

Democrats: Don't want to pay for contraception/abortions for your employees because your deeply-held religious beliefs disagree with the murder of unborn children? Don't care. Do it or we'll close your business/charity.

>"Everything in the state". The Government is supreme.
Democrats: Bigger government, more control of individual lives, more taxation. We can spend your money better than you can.

Democrats: Don't want/need to buy this product? We'll force you to buy it or we'll penalize you a few hundred/thousand dollars every year until you do.

Republicans: Smaller government, states rights, less taxation.

We don't THINK democrats are fascists. They are, by the very tenants of fascism, one and the same.

3:110-112 Muslims are the best of people, Jews have earned Allah’s anger

“You are the best nation ever brought forth to men, bidding to honour, and forbidding dishonour, and believing in Allah. Had the People of the Book believed, it were better for them; some of them are believers, but the most of them are ungodly. They will not harm you, except a little hurt; and if they fight with you, they will turn on you their backs; then they will not be helped. Abasement shall be pitched on them, wherever they are come upon, except they be in a bond of Allah, and a bond of the people; they will be laden with the burden of Allah’s anger, and poverty shall be pitched on them; that, because they disbelieved in Allah’s signs, and slew the Prophets without right; that, for that they acted rebelliously and were transgressors.”

Racism is nearly observing the differences between people who lived in isolation for a long period of time and evolved unique traits and characteristics

Now one thing about the European and Asian blood tho, because Europeans and Asians have more population groups (family trees) and much shorter / younger family trees the African and arab genetics are more dominate

The media is using the term genetic diversity for a old population group who lived in isolation for a long time. This is where the misconception of African Negroids being more genetic diverse comes from aswell (the African family trees(main ethnic African groups) are bigger and have longer branches but the rest of the world Asians and Europeans have more family trees

Because of this long isolation these genetic groups(trees) gained genetic dominant genes true interbreeding and strengthening genetics by keeping a selecting the same set of genetics over and over again generation after generation

All other so called junk DNA, that causes the unique mutations needed for evolution and diversity decay with every copy reducing mutations within the population group

This is the cause of "regression" to the average mean denominator.

By being a racist you are preventing regression to the mean avg and in fact protecting diversity and the unique specialized traits of humans that would simply disappear by gene mixture coming from outside the group that developed these unique advanced traits and ability's, resulting in regression to the mean avg and loss of this trait/ability

Not having the diverse groups isolated from each other, developing and evolving unique traits and abilities does not allow the population groups to adept to disease etc and survive bottleneck events

We need to protect this diversity and ensure the survival of the genetic uniqueness of these groups and not have them regress to the avg norm which is void of ability and specialization of genes
