Linux is simply not for the average user, not even Windows power users like me. Unlike Windows, Linux assumes you know everything how it works, it's the complete opposite of intuitive.

Well I am a dev. I could make arguments for that but that doesn't help everyone else.

My biggest problem with Windows is privacy which I don't believe is as big of a problem with linux distros. They tend to be very transparent about what's going on and many are completely open source. I also enjoy some of the features, such as default multiple desktops that I don't think I could live without.

I would make other arguments except windows has made some awesome leaps recently. For example incorporating a package manager and bash which is, I think, the best shell. If you are into that kind of thing.
