While I do have a Schecter, it was simply because I couldn't find another guitar the way I wanted. Been playing for 9 years, and while I'm certainly no shred god, nor claim to be, I needed a new guitar than my $100 piece of shit. I got a Schecter because of their broad selection of guitars.

Not really. I wanted a 7 string left-handed guitar in red sunburst for $500. I looked everywhere and couldn't find another one like it. I checked over a dozen manufacturers. If I had the money then I would get a custom ESP, but I don't have $2000 to spend.

For death metal actually. My shitty, 9 year old, $100 guitar didn't like having baritone strings on it, and it just felt like shit playing it. The closest to djent I play is a bit of Meshuggah, but I've been playing Cannibal Corpse and Nile mostly. Definitely not djent.

Do any of you cucks have an opinion on the ESP LTD SC207 Stephen Carpenter brand. I am really interested in trying it..I've been a schecter guy my whole life but have always like ltd and came across this. And yes i do love seven string.

How many reviews have you read that only say "The guitar is quite good/bad. The end."? There's usually some sort of explanation, why the reviewer thinks that some aspect of the guitar is good or bad.

It was some Custom 24, don't know the year it was made or the specific model. The construction was flawless, as expected, but the lacquer it had made it really slow to play. It felt like I was glued to the guitar. I also couldn't find a comfortable position for my right arm, because there was no cut for it. Personally I don't need a trem, so I would've preferred a fixed bridge. The guitar was much lighter than it looked, there were no buzzing frets and I'm not sure if it was the pickups or the amp (can't honestly remember what it was) but there was an almost piano-like characteristic to the tone. The neck was thicker than I was used to but still manageable. Overall a well-made and beautiful instrument but I couldn't get comfortable playing it.
