What valid reason do you have for not owning a gun?
I got over my personal gun craze when I was like 19. I bought a fuckload.
Then I grew up. I moved to a different state and only took my 12 gauge with me. I don't even have a ton of ammo.
People get all wrapped up in it, but it's really just an expensive hobby. No reason to have a shitload of guns (you have two hands), and there's only so many circumstances that justify having multiple.
Already have some handguns, needed a long gun and figured a shotty is a good place to start
Got some of these for it
Glock 19 reporting in.
I'm looking at getting my first AR.
Opinions on Armalite? Also like Sigs 516 Patrol ar as well.
Only real benefit you get with Mid-length on a 16" is some recoil mitigation, recoil on a 5.56 is minimal as it is. Never bothered me enough to care. As for how many, personal pref, I have kids, and each has one including me. Not that I really need to explain.
I'm Canadian. It's actually more dangerous to own a gun over here so we call the police instead even if they don't really enjoy their job and take a long ass time to come.
Last time I called them because I had a fight with a roommate and he didn't wanted to settle down even if he was starting to bleed... took them 15 minutes to come even if the police station is on the same street I live.
Note. If I could get my hand on some Auto Assault Shotgun with lots of amo and keep it a secret I would put my money on that instead of a new computer.
I'm talking about this bad boy over here of course.
How many people know that you own a gun?
Did you had to register them and give all the documents to people you don't really know or trust?
industry (not so) secret
No one is making their own shit these days unless you go high end. Forgings and parts all come from a handfull of parts distributors. All plays into who's warranty you want to deal with.
Build your own, only major tools you need are an armorer's wrench and a torque wrench.
Also go midlength for the gas system
getting a new handguard, pistol grip, gas block, and scope
My friends and hunting partners know I own one. There is no gun registration anymore in Canada. You just need to show a valid PAL and boom, you can own a gun. The serial numbers are not logged and your gun is not linked to your home address either anymore.
People who spend thousands of dollary-doos on guns are retards, like, OH MUH ASSAULT RIFLE MAKES ME SOOO COOL, you're just going to have it sitting around all the time and take it to the range once or twice, why not just buy a shotty for home defense?
I'm in Chicago and I've got plenty. GAT will put you over a barrel, but its really not that bad elsewhere unless you're looking for special stuff. Even then, if you can't find an FFL for under $30 you're not looking hard enough.
No no no, living in NYC is reason enough on its own to have a gun.
Granted, in NYC it should be an illegal handgun. No need ever know you have it until it saves your life, and at that point a charge won't matter compared to what you could have lost.
Unless you're a nigger, then don't risk; stop and frisk.

There are several valid reasons for people not owning a gun
That being said, I own several, and even picked one up today. Well technically the BATFE calls an AR lower a gun, so...
