So you like being spied on by Microsoft and the NSA? You know Microsoft started ripping code from Windows 10 computers to reverse engineer them, so they know what they do ahead of time. Say you are trying to make a really strong VPN, they know all the source code.

Windows 10 is pretty though. It has a great color scheme, very modern and cool. I don't hate it, I have it, am using it right now. I just like my privacy.

Snow Leopard, easily. I'm still using it. Once it becomes obsolete I'll start using Linux maybe. I tried newer versions of Mac OS X and they just lost me. Been using Apple products since the 80s and I can't see myself buying another one. They turned into every other corporation, but with more expensive shit.
XP was good, Windows 7 is pretty close too.

Nice to see I'm not the last person left on /b/ who can order a beer without being carded.

I used CP/M as long as I could, until I couldn't find software for it any more. Fucking Uncle Bill deliberately killed it. It was a much better OS than M$-DOS. In the end I was forced to switch to M$-DOS against my will, the same way I'm a hostage to Windoze now.

Of the various Windoze, 2k was best. I'd still be using 2k, actually, if there was better driver support for the 64 bit version.

Certainly not as a daily driver. As I lack the specific hardware I've been running it virtualized on a KVM box with RT patches for ages. Ya, it's a bunch of work getting it properly setup, and patching fucking everything is a plain, but I love the concept behind it; there's nothing quite like an IRC-like interface to everything. ACME is cool too. They also got the Windowing system right, while the rest of the world is still stuck with X11.

Nigger this is outdated. Canonical removed the feature when people said it was unethical.

What I find funny -- even though you pay for windows -- if you as a customer demand change then all you get is a letter from Microsoft saying "go fuck yourself lol"

However if you demand change from Canonical.. for an OS you don't even have to pay for, you get the change as well as an apology note.

and although that is true for the most part, its user friendly, and even more important...its lightweight and runs fast.

That triple boot pc i built/posted is only a duo core. Not even an i3. But it runs great.

Ive used Ubuntu, manjaro, puppy, MINT and Debian. Puppy is great for really outdated hardware. Light as hell and equally fast. Ubuntu and Debian tend to be great, but not exactly lightweight in speed. Wasnt impressed with Mint.
Manjaro was my first dive into something Arch based, and Im rather happy with it. Runs great, runs fast.

Yeah, I really like Mint.

Depends on the system. DSL and Puppy are great on old ass hardware. Not so much for brand new shit. I pretty much use Tails instead of these now days though for what I need to do with it.

Slax is temperamental, I'll give you that, but it's fun to use, or was, it's been a while.

Not sure, it's been a while and I'm still d/l. Gonna vm it of course.
