fx-8350 reporting in, getting on average 10 fps different then my friend's i7 4770 and 6700k rigs.
depending on game engines i can get 10 or so more or 10 or so less fps.

Most games will see zero benefit from an i7. Hyperthreading is only used by things like 3D modeling, video editing etc. It won't increase FPS in games. So if you aren't doing professional grade workstation stuff there is no need for an i7.

I'm fine with the i5 4690k I got from a friend for 50 bucks. Slapped a water cooler on it and over clocked it and paired it with a gtx 1060 and I can max out everything at 1080p. I will probably get a kabylake i7 and a 1080 ti when I move to 4k

I have an i7-6500k in my laptop and an A10 in my desktop. The i7 can munch numbers like a stoner at a Chinese buffet, but the A10 manages to get superior game performance anyway. Why? Because of the GPU fuckers. The desktop is running with an R9 380 and the laptop uses an R7 460. CPU's aren't the problem here. As long as you aren't running something like a fucking celeron or a phenom or whatever that weak shit is or playing some stupidly CPU intensive game (I'm looking at you Minecraft you fucking tumor) then CPU's are basically a null point.

Windows used to be a better general purpose thing, very long ago. Then it still could be with some mods like replacing the web browser, media player, etc. Now just even try to stop the OS itself from spying on you and phoning home. Maybe if you run it behind another machine that filters packets or something. Decent distros (I use Fedora) come pretty bare and you install your own codecs and shit but seriously there's millions of threads online explaining how to do it all in basic steps and the music production software I use runs BETTER in Wine than it does on Windows using the same hardware these days.

And another thing antibeacon does is set “Allow Telemetry” value to “0” which is supposed to completely block all their information being sent to MS. But this is just a snakeoil, information is still being sent to MS.

What antibeacon does do though is break shit. Might stop updates from happening, might break skype and onedrive and other shit by blocking stuff that it's marked as spying but isn't.

The only way to completely stop MS from spying with win 10 is to disconnect from the internet. All anti-beacon does is disable a whole bunch of shit you can do yourself, and it's supposed to constantly look to see if Windows re-enabled that shit as they're known to do.

But in the end, you're still being spied on, even with antibeacon.
