The bridge connects to two structures inside the violin: the sound post and the bass bar. This was my Grandpa's guitar. The neck is tiny and plays like butter. Kind of bright though. I'm considering making a new pick guard and loading it with modern electronics for fun. I don't really want to tamper with the original circuit, but the pickups are microphonic and sound like ass. It would be pretty neat o make a wood pickguard for it.
