What are you using, C# Monodevelop / Unity?

Why not make a float defined by the difference between their world positions? Monodevelop has "Vector3,distance" which will help with that.

If you need the literal surface, I would recommend, a raycast.

Man Calc 2 kicked my ass pretty good. I think if I could have taken it a third time I might have started to understand because I actually enjoyed math.

Physics gave me a logical connection but that was too late in the semester to salvage the grade. I understood calc 1 okay but not well enough to have a good understanding of where 2 would take me.

But design has been a lot better to me since then.
