heh, I tried to do this new years night since I had a few friends over, put a camera in a basket and had the lens way hidden in the back and was only visible if you stared directly at it (wasnt visible from eye height, only if you bent down near enough to where your ass is) I had it aimed at the toilet. I caught a few girls using the toilet, had the camera controlled by Wifi over my phone.

Finally, Two friends go up to the bathroom so I move to the other corner of the house near the bathroom so I can get a good signal and start filming these two as they go. For some reason, my phone was having issues connecting to the camera, and I miss them going. A few minutes later I go up to check on the camera and notice a plastic bag covering the hole the camera was in. I open up the box, and find that the cardboard box I put it inside of was open, external battery sitting there and camera gone.

No one said anything, but all the girls started acting a little weird after that. It was at my house, but seeing as how they are still talking to me normally I don't know if they think it was my camera. They could, but just decided to take it away and not speak of it. I have no idea. Its kind of eating me from the inside. I have no idea what to do if they confront me about it.

So a few things come to mind.

1) If they mention it, act surprised and offended. "Who would do such a thing?!" (were there enough people around that it could be 'literally anyone')

2) Did the camera look as if it was operational? If it was a wifi controlled one, perhaps it didn't have a light showing it's on or a screen showing that it's recording? You could argue it was just there. (Maybe you DID record something, like a sexy shower with someone and just forgot it there? ;p)

3) They may say nothing and life goes on.

Im going with number 1. Problem is, they have the camera. It has an SD card in it and they could see the footage of themselves. Thing is, my girlfriend is on it too. I could argue it was someone else. The other part to that is that there were only two other guys here besides for me. Its a wifi controlled camera, has to be powered by a usb drive thru house or external power, no buttons. They probably dont know how to operate it as it requires an app to control it thru your iphone or android. The only hard part is that micro sd card.
