>>717270785 Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Once Anti-Christ is finally cast down most will worship that fallen Angel mistaking him for God or Christ.. Some may mistake him for an Alien. What ever his lies he will simply not be a human and unfortunately the vast majority of mankind will convert on that day and will mistakenly worship death itself.
>>717271010 no, when you die you cease to exist, you no longer live, think, see or find out if there is a god or not, you wont even know that you are dead. You know why? because you will be fucking dead.
>>717270785 Consider how far technologically we've come in only 50 years. Fifty fucking years. We have self driving cars now. Think about artificial intelligence for a minute, what do you think will happen in the next 100 years? What is god now? Any clue? The universe has been here billions of years. Look what we've done in 100. We as a civilization can't even begin to understand...
Your consciousness is provided by your brain. It requires two things to function: glucose and oxygen. When you die you stop eating and you stop breathing. No more glucose, no more oxygen. Therefore no more consciousness.
>>717270785 We live on a floating orb of water revolving around a giant ball of fire in a universe that is incomprehensibly big. This colossal universe is located within an infinite void. Who cares if we have an after life.
>>717282577 The ideas of the opposing concepts are being disregarded here. The belief is there is something that transcends the physical world as we know it. People should believe whatever they want to believe but if you want to truly look at it from a scientific perspective, claiming it's all bull shit is just as silly as claiming it's real. If it can't be measured, observed, or experienced, then it can't be proven nor disproven. If you aren't insecure about your personal beliefs, then you shouldn't be so quick to shit on all those that aren't yours. I'm tired now. Yall have a fabulous night.
>>717284681 So your position is that......All that exists somehow poofed into being and formed through ***my favourite god***, which also poofed into existence, and for which there is not a shred of evidence.
>>717286225 It's not that easy to explain complicated stuff to plebs. But I could try to explain it all in a few sentences.
We were created by the afterlife science before our birth. This is our first experience of awareness. Once we die we open our eyes and breath once more in a whole new and immortal young-looking body which is totally perfect, albeit artificial as well. That place is another simulation, the so called 'Heaven'.
Anyway, before that, we are living a predestined life in this world in which there is absolutely no free will: on earth hard determinism is a fact. We are all living inside a personal reality bubble. What I mean by the bubble is that our life experience is colored by our predestination. For example, there are over four thousand religions and all followers of all those religions experience their own respective faiths as if they were true, including realistic spiritual experiences. Yet none of the religions are true, it's all personal reality bubble shit...just like your materialism.
>>717287170 Furthermore, one could say that three laws apply to the paranormal. First law would be that the paranormal phenomena occur *after a closed manner within inner circles*. Did you know that people call 911 about paranormal phenomena? Well they do, and sometimes the cops that are sent to help these citizens are part of the inner circles of these experiences. In other words, some cops experience paranormal phenomena inside people's homes. We just never learn about that stuff since they keep it a secret. But, not all paranormal experiences stay secret. The people in Arizona and Mexico that witnessed the Phoenix Lights ufo made up an inner circle (if you got any of this since I'm trying to keep it to as few words as I can).
The second law would be that each paranormal experience is always authentic. Every orb, angel, chi, etc. is always the first copy.
The third law would be that sometimes phenomena are religious, and you too may experience a "spiritual" experience. Never trust anything from the mouth of the paranormal though. There is no God, angels, demons, fairies nor any of that. It's all humans. Humans of another world run the simulation.
>>717288567 Not really, he's just using the argument from ignorance fallacy, nothing new here. we cant disprove him, this is the problem with this religion shit, we simply don't know and that is a reason why I think these ideologis are false, because if a god/gods actually existed how could "false" religions exist with their own god?
>>717289190 I am that poster, and I will type it down as simply as I possibly can.
To one person God is true, yet to another person God is not true.
The simulation makes it so, that both people may live their earthly days believing in their own personalized "truth". Like I said, we live inside "personal reality bubbles". That means that on Earth there can co-exist Christians and atheists.
>>717289562 Well, depends on the religion i suppose, these Christianfags are most likely talking about their own religion so in their case it's an all-knowing celestial being. It doesn't really specify in the bible what god actually is.
>you are wrong >there is no god >but people need a reason to live (google nihilism for more information) >so they made up religion
Is it fucking hard to understand? If god was perfect why would the religion explaining him/it/whatever be so fucking corrupted and hypocritical? There is no fucking simulation or whatever, people just have free minds and think like they want, that's why its called FAITH because THEY believe in it.
>>717290242 >There is no fucking simulation or whatever You just haven't reached a point where you think differently. I suggest that you pick up Simon Necronomicon and play with it for a full year. Just read the texts alone every day until you experience something weird. That weirdness is called paranormal. Google it. It's unfortunately legit. From that point on you may start to question what is up with the weirdness you experienced. I am way past that point.
All atheists are intellectual failures. You identify as atheists because, like leftists in general, you never take the time to think the issue through; instead, you depend on feelz to get you through the day. "I don't believe in FIARY TAILS lol!1!" This gives you a feeling of superiority.
>>717291255 Only religious people rely on faith. Atheists teach critical thinking to Christians and it makes them uncomfortable and sick. To become an atheist requires that you become a Christian and turn into a closet atheist.
>>717285367 this new "Simulation Theory" is a thinly veiled, desperate grasp at a religious afterlife for atheists >WHEN I DIE I DONT REALLY DIE IM JUST PLAYING A GAME RIGHT NOW AND ILL BE ALIVE WHEN IM DEAD
Christian fags just want life after death. Sorry bro, not gona happen, even if there was god. Universe create itself repeat round and round. All that exists is consciousness and we die individually. Not long life make sad fish, but live well lived long.
Intellectual failures always look for markers in their quest to feel better about who they know they are and are afraid others will find out about. In this case, you define God as an old white man that lives in the clouds. "Lol!1!", you say. "Das retarded!1!" And now you don't need to bother with thinking. "Well, thinking is HARD, anon, lols!1! Rate my cock!1!"
>>717291591 >Atheists teach critical thinking to Christians Not one time. As you are demonstrating. If you hadn't went to public school, I'd remind you of the Scientific Method. You should look into it. It'll change your life.
>>717291638 I'm the one that brought up simulation, and I learned about the simulation hypothesis from the universe during a "spiritual" experience. I swear, the only time I had learned about it before was in the Matrix movie. Everything I said ITT comes from that experience (or a continuity of experiences that lasted for some years). After that I learned about Bostrom et al, and it turned out that they didn't think at all like I was taught, except for the obvious common belief in a simulated reality. What I was taught (all of which I of course take with a grain of salt) is that there is no "Heaven", but a whole another physical universe where we all will end up. We just don't die there anymore since it is not like this universe. If it makes it a religious thought, I can't help it... It's what I was conveyed
>>717291646 >Was there a point in there that i missed? Yes, Captain. Let me spell it out. Your buddies are making blanket statements without defining terms. This is classic intellectual laziness, which all atheists use as a crutch. Your next post will lack substance, and only be mocking, if past threads are any guide.
I'm an Christian but I'd like to try out being an atheist, just to see what it's like. Problem is, I'm not retarded and my brain simply can't fit atheism in. It's like I can't be obese. I could, I suppose, but something inside me just makes me unable to go through with the behaviors that would lead to a person being obese. When looked at dispassionately, being an atheist is just dysfunctional. Atheists are not at all what they describe themselves as or imagine themselves to be.
>>717292026 >The official meaning of atheism's not faith in itself, its a lack of faith, THE REVERSE of what you said. >official meaning So there's a Church of Atheism with a Council of Elders. They define canonical issues in your Church. Atheism is purely faith. You've defined God in a ridiculous way so that you can mock without thinking.
>>717292654 >I actually had to either ignore evidence of evolution and theories for abiogenisis Or pay attention? Christians accept these things, princess. You quit believing because you're stupid. Incapable of rational thought. Which has been my point throughout this thread. There is the other type of atheist. The ones who know they're evil, and don't want to be judged. Another thread, maybe.
>>717292811 You define him. Its the concept that you are proposing. I will just wait for my chance to peer review your proposal. You know, repeat your experiment to see if we get the same observational evidence.
>>717292846 >Gods are simply mythological beings we have fabricated to explain what we previously not been able to explain. The start of Genesis reads like an old scifi novel. What if that God was an alien race that found and guided us? Would the lessons be different? The Biblical laws were well ahead of their times. No one knew why so many died eating shellfish and rabbits, or even made the connection. How did the Hebrews know?
>>717293401 Then your book wouldn't call these supposed aliens celestial beings, NOW FUCKING WOULD IT. the bible, Quran and all that shit calls god a celestial ALL knowing "thing" and NOTHING can get to the point of being all knowing. As far as we know
>>717293047 >You define him. Its the concept that you are proposing. The Bible never defines God. In fact, He resists showing Himself, refuses to intervene in your free will, and generally stays out of the way. The point of God was a way for a primitive people to establish a civilization based on laws. With just the basics of a legal system, the Hebrews lived hundreds of years without kings and nobility. The people decided their fates, and selected judges from themselves to settle disputes. That's a God that an American can love. >I will just wait for my chance to peer review your proposal. "Peer." Excuse me, princess. Show me you can think before you throw such a term around.
If any of you were actually religious you'd know that the two main religions started with an angel showing up and saying that god will give them territory and riches if they believe in them. Having to bribe with material needs clearly shows how either these all these powerful beings are made up, or that these gods arent as mighty as you think since they NEED followers desperately.
And lets not even mention how christianity was formed to enslave people through the middle age.
>>717293522 You conveniently skipped the next part. You can reject a story on the grounds that you don't think it is believable. Police do it all the time. I can make up a story or go along with someone else's story and then tell it to another person and say "This is true and you need to be aware of the implications of this story. You need to be obedient to me and allow me to talk down to you since you know nothing of the characters and events of my story. Oh wait, you do know my story? Then you believe it. Oh you don't believe it? Then you don't know it".
>>717293653 >I dispute that people died eating rabbits. You can't hunt rabbits until after the first snowfall because of the parasites. Trichinosis in pigs also took out many people. Shellfish too. Even atheists know when to avoid them. This is just one of the laws laid out in the Bible that denote a sociologic/biologic knowledge paradox. Pawed mammals have many parasites.
>>717293738 >Then your book wouldn't call these supposed aliens celestial beings, You don't seem to understand the meanings of those words. Did you mom step out? >the bible, Quran and all that shit Good point, anon. Those aren't the same thing at all, yet they are connected. >and NOTHING can get to the point of being all knowing. As far as we know And bumblebees are incapable of flight. It was proven by engineers trained in the field.
>>717294155 >god will give them territory and riches if they believe in them. In 5000 BC, there was 'territory' all around, most of it empty. You're talking about the undefined 'promised land', not 'territory', which outs you as a leftist. (dey white and dey be stealin dat land!1!) "riches" meant having enough to eat. Once again...use your brain, anon.
>>717294397 >Police do it all the time. Blanket statement condemning whole groups. Yes, you're very smart. The rest of your post was nonsense. I say again, define 'God'. Hint: no one does unless they have a selfish agenda.
>>717294926 >What else did he say? He said you have free will. That he's not going to give you a basement to live in for free. That if you want to eat, you have to work. That you shouldn't steal. The list of foreign concepts goes on.
>>717294633 For something to be all knowing it must have created the universe, in your eyes this is "god" but you have no evidence for this. so we are just going in circles. as it stands right now, a mortal being can not be all knowing. and as I said, we have no evidence for a immortal being existing.
>>717295567 What do you call the bible? You have to have read the old testament and the new, you'd know the story of Abraham otherwise. You should ACTUALLY read the source material before blindly believing what your parents told you. It's called using your brain, anon.
>>717295559 >For something to be all knowing it must have created the universe, in your eyes this is "god" THIS. This is the problem with all atheists. Thinking is hard, so you don't even try. I said none of that. In fact, I'm dumbing things down for you poor fuckers. >we have no evidence for a immortal being existing And none that one doesn't, but you've taken THAT on pure faith. A logical mind using the scientific method would withhold absolute judgements. Absolute judgement is what holds people in poverty and mud huts.
>>717295632 >What about beating my slaves? Yay / nay? All of human history says yes. They quit teaching history in public schools, didn't they? You want to know injustice? Look up the slavic peasants of Russia in 1860.
>>717294657 For some the (likely) truth is too much For others it's just he'll trying to find an answer and for others it's not a big deal Personally I don't care,I'm here I live my life and enjoy it until it ends and in the mean time I'm going n 4chan for a cheap laugh
>>717295850 >What do you call the bible? Any religious text you want. It's all manifestations for a specific people in a specific time and place. In my case, I suppose the 'catholic' bible. >You have to have read the old testament and the new, you'd know the story of Abraham otherwis I do, honeybunch. >believing what your parents told you. They were and are atheists. Not being a moron, I politely change the subject if it comes up.
>>717270785 Sure OP but ask yourself this question, does knowing that make you special? And does it make sense to strike up a conversation with a devout religious person about it and potentially spur an intense and heated argument?
>>717296071 >Absolute judgement is what religitards spout everytime they open thier mouth. And you used absolute judgement again, to condemn whole groups. >If you prove your god exists to me then you have another believer. This is my point. You have the same 'proof' He doesn't exist, yet, like a tard, you Decided. Look up 'irony', anon.
>>717295864 Gotta love these creationists. Just shouts "you're wrong" all the fucking time without adding anything to the conversation.Where the fuck do you want us to start the conversation, you want us to define God, then you say it's impossible, and when we ask you to do it yourself, you shrug it of. wtf is that logic?
>And none that one doesn't
But the problem is that YOU have the burden of proof, we can't get further in this conversation if you don't fucking do something. you just say "you're wrong" and and the same idiotic question again.
