Ive been using 4chan and it's boards of entertainment since 2012, while alot of /s4s/ and /pol/ have changed over the years, /b/ never fails to remind me of my navieness and bring thoughts of if this board at one time was not plauged with reposted nudes, rolls for this and memes you could practially find on any social media site that bears that "offensive humor" mark.

Honestly, what made /b/ into shit was the advancement of tech and awareness of it's existence. practically a smart phone can make you access anything of your liking, and with a generation of more acceptance, they soak in their settings and carry it all with them. Also to consider that the masses are asses when it comes to spreading of info, people assume and hear rumors about happenings and whatnot on /b/ and want it.

Esoteric value is lost in the process. If /b/ was lesser known on the internet, it's glory would be intact. But who knows.
