Yeah man, when I was an electrician I used Milwaukee and they would hammer through the shittiest baked, petrified wood. I have a porter-cable now and its fairly solid, but its just for the house and doesn't get used to often.

Milwaukee is pretty much the gold standard for professional grade cordless power tools. Sure every now and then you might get a dud, but that will happen with literally every brand, more so with the shitter brands (ryobi, porter cable, etc)

Of the two listed, Dewalt, but I would rather buy Milwaukee than use Dewalt tools someone gave to me.
>>
>>716958831
I use Ryobi battery tools because they are cheap and hold up to the abuse I put them through pretty well. If I do destroy it, it's cheap to replace. I also like that Ryobi and rigid have stuck with 18 volt unlike everyone else who keeps upping the battery voltage every other year.

Reliable like a tank. Sounds like one too. Vibrates so hard it takes three men to operate it. Can be used as a backup power source for a small village in case of a nuclear winter. Equipped with electric plug made of liquid metal which fits into any power socket in existence as well as any of the non-existent ones. Drills through the fabric of the universe itself.

Hilti tools don't overheat, can withstand high impact when being dropped, get exchanged within hours by your local agent if they really should break down and are simple better than anything else on the market.
If you're in the industry there's literally no reason not to spend the extra buck. It'll save you time and by that money.

Ryobi is cheap, and often puts out sweet package deals to reel in noobs on their cordless kits. Once you have one battery set, you tend to buy that brand from then on so all your batteries are interchangeable. Their tools are good enough for light use too, so snagging one of those specials might suit you just fine. If you're going to go pro or high-grade DIY, they might be below your desired quality level.

Makita and Milwaukee are solid, reliable tool brands and I have no complaints about either one for any product I have used. Milwaukee "Hackzall" mini-sawzalls are the shit for crude cuts in odd spaces on any material and I haven't seen an equivalent in any other brand.

DeWalt tools are the most expensive you'll see at Lowe's/Home Depot. They also tend to be very full-featured, rugged, and high-power. My crew has a DeWalt jigsaw that's almost old enough to vote, and we are not kind to anything we use. Only downside other than cost is that they're often heavier than other brands, and some of them can be annoying to use in odd spaces for extended periods. Their portable table tools are pretty portable, though. We haven't bought any other brand of those since before I joined the crew.

I'm not sure how extensive Ridgid's tool line actually is, but it's our go-to choice for vacuums and skil saws. Ridgid tools are not super nice, but incredibly hardy and keep kicking long after they stop working like new. And relatively cheap.

Oh, and for hammers, flatbars, and the like, I'm quite partial to Estwing. They invented the one-piece hammer design and nobody does it better. Indestructo-tools.
