I mainly get them on the groin area in like 3-4 repeating spots. Mine flares up occasionally (bi-monthly). Its gotten a lot better, to where the pain isnt the problem anymore, but more of the puss and smell when the boils/cysts burst.

What helped for me was...

1) Losing weight (to reduce skin-to-skin contact in armpit and groin area)

2) Wearing looser clothes (especially underwear that pulls up in the groin area)

3) Cleaning the area if you sweat slot that day.

4) Trimming and not shaving the area (removing hair helps with airflow and keeps the area cleaner). Shaving irritates the area, which is something you don't want with a hair follicle related disease.

It's re-occurring, but there are definitely triggers that can make it happen more often.
