Great thread all around with minimal baiting. I don't know why some people see the need to quantify as to why they or others are attracted to these threads.

I've been on /b/ since 2005 and here's my personal beliefs;

Some time after I stopped going on 4chan regularly it was invaded by huge amounts of fur-faggotry the likes of which had never been seen before on /b/ - ponyfags. The ponyfags tried to stand united and invade anywhere they could - including reality/cons - all because they felt safe in numbers.

Intended or not, the fluffy comics seemed to really bother the furfags/ponyfags, which you still see to this day - people spamming fluffy threads full of gay furry porn because it triggers them. Eventually the faggotry was more or less corralled into /mlp/ but the fluffy threads remained. Perhaps because they had grown beyond a simple knee-jerk reaction to keep the squeamish away and perhaps because they're still fulfilling that original purpose, floating around /b/ kind of like some sort of antibodies.

Either way you cut it, it's not cancer but chemo rather.
