What if all the manual labor and maintenance were done by robots, and we also had robots mining asteroids helium3 which we use for fuel? Assume we have enough resources to easily sustain everyone without the need for them to work. People just find a role that allows them to fit into the society by doing what they're passionate about, and if they can't find that then they can just "chill" until they do. Working is optional because there's more than enough to go around. Nobody has to have any kind of labor jobs, no maintenance/construction, nobody needs to flip burgers or do anything shitty, robots take care of all that. The only people who have jobs are doing something to direction innovate/advance the already highly advanced society.
