Dark souls you know, there's a lot of spin offs for pc, small games like titan souls, hyperlight drifter etc. which are kinda nice. sunless sea for a steampunky trading game with a cool atmosphere and story. Shovel Knight. Jazz punk. Fez. Braid. The witness. (The witness is very possibly the coolest game in a very long time). One particular group of modders created the MOBA genre, using WC3 as a base, many many other game types had also been created using SC, like tower defense.
SC was and always has been played more competitively than WC3, although that is a bad measure of a game IMO.

if you Intend to play a game merely on its merits as a pioneer in the industry, Warcraft will eat SC for breakfast. WoW is what I would recommend for an MMO, Diablo 3 is insanely good, smite and Dota, Miscreated is a good DayZ style game and is currently on sale, Civ games are a must have and total war games are a must

one thing i know is universally true is that you need buddies to play. or jsut a good platoon. also depends on which server you get, since there are huge quality differences in the local big outfits.

but man, oh man, did i witness some amazing fights way back. one of the memorable evenings was during a day on which the other two faction had more or less ganged up on us and were about two territories away form our warpgate. no way to win, so we jsut dug in and made em work for it. before we knew it, 7 hours had passed, it was early morning, and no progress was made.
