I still have the screws in my foot. The original plan was to take them out after it healed, but after consulting with other doctors who performed the same surgery, my doctor said they could stay in. I have to hand it to him, it's been about two years since the injury, and it's like it never happened. No pain whatsoever. Admittedly, in colder weather it does get a bit stiff, but once I'm up and moving it doesn't bother me. I think that has more to do with my foot having to be locked in the same position for about 6 months while it healed, though.

plaster casted and pain meds was good for a while until the swelling/internal bleeding kicked in - that was the worst of it, slightly less acute than the original injury, but gradually increasing with no way to deal with it - they cut cast off 16 hours later and recasted to accommodate the swelling

The pain was so intense for so long that anything I put into my stomach would come right back up and I started to get dehydrated along with going into shock and being very cold. Got into a an accident on my motorcycle and thankfully didn't do anything but break my wrist...thought it was going to be a normal break and heal thing going on but they needed to operate and put a plate in to separate the bone. When I was 19 and got my wisdom teeth out. Had it 2 times, first time lower teeth, second being the upper wisdoms out. The second time was fine. The first time however was not. The lower right wisdom tooth had a complication with the root, being it having a third root. That third root broke off the molar during the extraction and made its way deeper into the gum. My surgeon had to pretty much dig deeper into the gum and bone and fish it out. Luckily I was put to sleep through all this wisdom tooth shit but the aftermath of all this was being on 3 meds for 2 weeks. 1 was steroids, and the other 2 hard pain meds. I can't remember what the names of the drugs were but good thing I had them however the steroids were horrid. They gave me such a bad stomach pain, it felt like rats were burrowing out and through. I was in tears unable to sleep for almost a full 3 nights. Still to this day I can't compare anything to the steroid stomach pain. Getting back to the teeth, the aftermath of the fishing out the root was a scary amount of exposed jawbone and when that anesthesia wore off and the swelling went down and i can finally take the pain meds because the bleeding is under control, that pain in that jaw bone I can only describe as "unique". It hurt bad, like nothing else even to this day i have felt.

it was worse than my heart surgery. the split chest thing felt like they burned through it instead of cut it when the drugs would wear off. and that above white hot pain with the back/hip thing happened while on strong opiate pain killers. at least the split chest would ease up on them.

the government; military/public health service get only the best doctors & dentists from the Caribbean that money can buy

at local indian reservation clinic. they had a real autismo of a doc who trained in the caribbean. he was always going on about eating natural, no snacks, etc. nurse manning a station during lunchtime. he's a big burly dude, gets out a pack of chips. doctor rushes over, grabs them, and empties them into the trash. then starts berating the guy. i thought i was going to witness a murder. doc got fired shortly after that because he treated not only the rest of the staff that way, but also all the patients.

Turn right to go down sidewalk to continue to said store. Hear loud whooshing sound. Everything goes black. Wake up a few seconds later 30 ft away from were i was originally. Left ankle is numb but had the pain of 1M anal rapes in it. Gf sees whole thing. Thought truck had killed me. Ambulance takes me hospital. Doctors reset ankle. Pain so intense I black out but gf hears me scream all the way in the waiting room. Get screws plates and pins. Cant walk for 6 months. Ankle is so fucked the doctor talks of amputation.
